I'm Happy When
I'm happy when I go to the beach,
I'm happy when mum buys me a peach.
I'm happy when I play with my dog,
I'm happy when I walk in the fog.
I'm happy when I go to Chrisco,
I'm happy when I dance in a disco.
I'm happy when I come to school,
I'm happy when I get in the pool.
I'm happy when I play in the park,
I'm happy when I stay in the dark.

Frogs
When they are in their eggs tadpoles are surrounded with a kind of jelly. Tadpoles breathe under water through their gills. While tadpoles are starting to grow their tails start to shrink. When they’re all grown up, they turn into adult frogs. Adult frogs breathe with their lungs. In spring the mother frogs lay their eggs but in winter the frogs start to hibernate. When they’re hibernating, frogs dig through the mud. When they’re in the mud, they breathe through their skin and they don’t eat until the following spring. Then they come out of the hole and start eating.

Tuataras
Tuatara only live in New Zealand. You can't find a tuatara in the wild in any other country. A female tuatara can grow up to 60cm long. It takes about 30 years to grow to its full size. If you look at a tuatara, it looks like it has hard skin but the skin of a tuatara is actually soft. The tuatara comes out at night. Did you know that they eat their own egss and baby tuatara too? A lot of tuataras are killed by dogs, cats, pigs and people too. Tuatara can see well at night. They also have long sharp claws and strong feet. Look out because tuatara can bite. If it does, it will hold on for a very long time. Tuatara can live up to 100 years.

Wild Bears
Wild bears live in many different places. They live all over the world such as Asia, America and Europe. Wild bears run thirty miles an hour. They eat seals, fruit and nuts. Wild bears are different sizes and some are six feet long. They have long sharp claws. Wild bears sleep through the winter and their heart rate slows down. Some bears live in forests.
A polar bear can swim in the Atlantic Ice. A bear can snatch a seal from under water. A bear does not have good eyesight but they have good hearing skills. Wild bears are big!

Frogs
Frogs belong to a group called amphibians. Toads are amphibians too. Toads lay eggs in the springtime. They hatch and turn into tadpoles. They have large tails so they can swim around. They eat pond plants and animals. Tadpoles breathe through their gills. Their tail shrinks and it grows legs and turns into a frog. Frogs breathe through their lungs so they have to swim to the surface to breathe. They have strong backlegs so they can jump long distances. Frogs are good swimmers. They live on land by a pond. They eat worms, snails and other insects. They have long sticky tongues so they can catch flies. During winter they go into a deep sleep.
