Recount: Summer Sports

On Wednesday 25th March 2009 some kids went to summer sports day. We went on a bus to Ray Small Park. We went there for interschool sport’s day. The sports we played was soft-ball. Mrs Smith was our couch. After we got there, we watched some schools play other schools. Some schools looked very good at playing soft-ball. First we played Opaheke School. We were the batters and they were the fielders. It was a fun game but Opaheke School won. They had 56 and we had 49. Next we played another school. We were the fielders and they were the batters. When we were the fielders, Shavanah was first because she was the captain of our team. We lost and the other school won. We had 54 and they had 65. We played 5 schools until we had our lunch. We went under a big tree and ate our lunch. We went under the tree because it was a very hot day. The last game we played we were the only ones that beat them so that was cool. We won 5 out of 7 games. Lastly the lady handed out the certificates. Cosgrove came first. That day was a very fun day and I’m glad I joined in.
